What Do Pink Computers Say About Us?

Just a few years ago, a pink computer was almost unheard of. Not that it wasn’t allowed, it was just not on most peoples mind to change the color of the machine’s case. Nowadays, people can’t seem to invent colors fast enough to slap on computers.

Around the year 2000, as the number of computers increased, so did people’s need to customize them. People started making custom paint jobs for their machines, both amateur, and professional. The types of customizations range from color patterns, to complex sketches, and paintings. Among the myriad of colors pink seems to be one of the favorites these days.

Personalizing your machine can be very important to some people, even a religion. To homeowners the front lawn, or paint on the house is a show of who they are. For computer people, the color and pattern of the desktop, or laptop they own says very much the same. You can learn a lot by just by looking at someones machine from afar.

If they have crazy wild patterns on the machine, with vibrant colors it may indicate an art student or graphics artist. Businessmen may use a very glossy brown, or black. Casual people may have flower patterns, or easy on the eyes patterns. Gamers may have pictures of video games etched into the back of a laptop, or side panel.

Manufacturers started taking note of people customizing their machines soon after it became popular. Many premade sketches and colors are offered standard on newer machines these days. Professional artists can often make a lot of money working for a computer vendor. Of course just as many people hate patterns as those that like them, that’s why many basic colors are also available.

One of the colors that everyone seems to really like is pink. The infatuation with pink really seems to have gotten quite large. If you pay attention, it might appear that almost every other person has a pink laptop, mouse, flash drive, or external hard drive. It’s not just women, many men like the color as well.

The color pink will probably be with us a long long time. Personal taste is the main thing though when it comes to computer personalization. Whats pretty to some may be hideous to others. If history is any indication though the types of color combination’s we can look forward to should be quite interesting
