However, there are many advantages to owning a plasma TV, even more than owning an LCD TV. There is a larger viewing angle present with a plasma TV and the brightness of the picture on the screen is much better viewed in the dark than with a tube television.

Panasonic, known as the largest maker of plasma TVs has worked hard to reduce the amount of energy required to run their sets. In the beginning, plasma TVs had issues with images being burned into the viewing screen. That problem seems to have been eliminated with today’s plasma sets. LCD sets never witnessed these issues.
