Then the mobile phones get released and caused a big shakeup in the phone market, a few years later kids of all ages are now carrying phones. Technology is just developing at great speeds in these handsets and mobile phones now allow us to connect to the internet, take pictures and shoot videos. The calls are also getting a lot cheaper and you can get signal almost any where in the world.
So do we really need land line telephones anymore? I do believe that the answer to this question is both yes and no, so lets have a look at the reasons why
1) In most instances companies around the world will always need to use land lines as they need to transfers and track calls all the time. Although mobile phones are great I do not think they can be used for business reason.
2) On the other hand are landlines really needed in the home anymore? I mean mobile based calls are just getting a lot cheaper so why get a landline? The negative thing about landlines, especially if you are using a cordless phone is that you cant be too far away from the actual unit otherwise you will lose signal.
In the end only time will tell what is going to happen in the forever advancing technological world. Lets wait and see what occurs in the next few years.
