The price gap between the larger sizes of LCD and Plasma televisions is decreasing. I think in a few years there won’t be much of a difference at all. It will be interesting to see which manufactuters choose to go with which technology for their larger screens. E.g. Sony only produce LCD televisions. Panasonic use plasma panels for their televisions over 37″ in size.
