Why Can't I Hear My Turtle Beach Earforce X11 Game Sound?

I just today bought a Turtle Beach Earforce X11 for my Xbox 360. I plugged all the cords and cables in EXACTLY the way the manual said it should be plugged (Standard Way). I did all the stuff I had to on my Xbox but when I played a game I could only hear people's voices and not the game sound in the headset. I had both volumes turned up all the way and the green cable, which is connected to the splitter cable, was plugged in with the correct cable tightly. I made sure everything else was tight. Then, my friends, who have the same headset, said they set up their Turtle Beach X11 the exact same way but they hear everything fine. Why can't I hear the game sound in the headset? Do I need to buy another cable like the other setup options in the manual? I don't think my TV is the problem, but it is a Samsung HD Plasma Screen TV. Help?

Suggestion:

No, they are not broken. If you can hear chat then the speakers work just fine. First, try disconnecting the splitter cable from the main cord so you just have the 3.5mm cable. Plug it into a PC or an iPod, and listen. Do you hear the music? If so, there maybe be a problem with the splitter, or the televisions inputs. Try that then contact TB support, and they will help you troubleshoot the issue and solve it.
