Should I Get an Led or Plasma Tv for Blu Ray?

I'm having a hard time choosing between the two TV types. I know Plasma is definitely a step further than LED when it comes to picture quality and black levels, however, I know Plasma TV's are known for the picture to burn in the TV, consume alot more electricity, and don't last as long as LED TV's. Now as for LED, I hear some the latest models have gotten great reviews and can produce great picture and black levels just about as superb as a plasma TV. I also know thier lighter, last longer, consume less electricity, and don't release as much heat either. Now my main issue, is that I want to get a TV that I can really enjoy watching Blu Ray's with in my bedroom at night in the dark without the problem of not being able to see some of the picture details due to lack of black levels, but I'm trying to avoid Plasma at the same time because the downfalls for them and I hear that LED's have been proven to do good for that. Can somebody please help me out and tell me which one I would definitely need? Maybe also tell me some specifications I should look for in the TV's before I buy? Thanks a bunch!

Suggestion:

Nonsense. LED is a MUCH better technology than Plasma. 1080P, go with 240hz if possible.
