When it's first turned on, it usually causes a gigantic ping spike and Disconnection entirely.
While it is running, sometimes my ping will go so high it is likely to drop me from any game.
I can't even begin to fathom the explanation for this one.
Please, anyone with technological know-how direct me in this freaky problem.
Suggestion:
I assume that you are using wireless. If that is so then the signal from the plasma is interfering with the wireless signal (the plasma TV generates an electric field, the larger the TV the larger the field). This happens a lot with wireless headphones.
Basically, you have to go into the router admin and have it switch channels that it is using to broadcast. Find ones that are not competing with the TV.
If that doesn't work then you may need to relocate your router and the devices using it so they are away from the TV. This may require extender cables for your game console.
Perhaps better cabling for your TV to reduce signal leakage.

Loverofwine is on the right track…another thing you could consider…is running a wired connection to the device in which you are having problems with.
