I Want a Ps3 Slim but Can I Play It on a Plasma Tv?

So I really want to get a PS3. The problem is I'm worried that by playing on a plasma it will create what is called burn in. I believe it does have a type of screen that washes away things like that. And I have played Wii and Xbox 360 and there has been some ghost images but they just fade away. It's a Panasonic which I believe is good quality. It was bought in October 2008. Any help on what to do. I don't think I have the money to buy a whole new TV with a PS3. Also when the Xbox 360 menu was up and I turned the screen off a ghost image was already there even after the few moments the menu and Xbox 360 were turned on. I think this is just normal stuff or something.
