How to Fix a Panasonic Plasma Tv with Red Blinking Light?

When I try to turn on my panasonic plasma tv the power switch blinks twice, but it does not come on. I left the tv off for a day and then tried to turn it on and it came on. It has happened again, but it is not turning back on at all. Can anyone help me? TV is only 2.5 years old.

Get a TV engineer to have a look at it get as much life out of it as you can because the life span of a Plasma is not very long — mine lasted only 5 Years then was scrapped ($2.500.00)
A friend (TV Engineer) told me that the components in these TV's require an enormous amount of current and the life span of components is therefore shorter but 2.5 years ????? Very questionable
But take note that most equipment produced today have a built in short life span — the idea is to sell more units. However, notice that it is out of the guarantee period, but not by much, could be an indication that the components are already starting to fail
