The TV is a 32" LCD Sharp television with model number LC-32D40U. The problem is that sometimes when I press the power button, the TV turns on but the screen stays black. It can sometimes take several tries before the TV actually turns on properly. I recently plugged in the TV again after having it in the garage for several days and the problem is not occurring, although I have heard that unplugging the TV causes whatever the problem is to go away (albeit temporarily).
Does anyone know what could be wrong with the TV and if there is a solution to it?
Suggestion:
Unplugging the TV and plugging it back in can reset the software and resolve faults. Leaving it in the garage for a couple of days would cool it down if it has a hardware heat fault.
