Problems Connecting Laptop with Tv(lcd) Through Vga ?

Hi, I have laptop with broken screen , it's with XP os. I tryed hook up it with my LCD TV through VGA cabel, but something goes wrong on booting, it loosing signal, after that when loading. I know that i can change in properties , but the thing is that I dont see anything. Maybe someone can help me? Thank you

set resolution minimum,using other monitor.
