I Have a Sony 50 in Lcd Tv Model Kdf- E50a10. Screen is Not As Bright As It Was New?

My sony TV seams to not have the brightness during the day. What I mean is light shining through the windows make it very dificult to see the picture. During the night time it is OK. I have tried changing the seetings, brightness, sharpness, contrast, etc. & cleaning the outside screen with no help. This problem started about 2 weeks ago and seems to be gettings worse. Thanks in advance

Brightness and Contrast have NOTHING to do with overall brightness.

Check the Picture mode (Vivid, standard, movie). Put it on Vivid.
