I've recently noticed that the TV picture has developed a slight (yet very annoying) motion blur when dark objects are moving across a white background – for instance, when Brian from Family Guy moves, multiple noses appear on the screen for a short while.
First, I saw if this was just a problem with my TV or a problem with every model. It turns out my friend has the same TV and has the same trouble.
I have contacted Samsung support, and they say the issue should be fixed with a firmware update.
I searched the site and came to this page:
http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/detail/supportPrdDetail.do?menu=SP00&prd_mdl_cd=&prd_mdl_name=LE32B551A6W&prd_ia_sub_class_cd=P
(click Firmware under downloads tab)
The TV's current firmware is T-CRLPEUWC-2004.0
The website lists two different updates, both posted at the same date, with very different filesizes.
Which one (or both?) would I have to use?
I don't want to get this wrong as it will invalidate my warranty!
Thanks for your help, a very well deserved 5 stars is yours for the taking!
Suggestion:
The problem is caused by the refresh rate a firmware update should fix it. I am surprised to here its a Samsung. Ithink i will stay away from that make.
