Toshiba 19LV505 19" LCD TV i think its a 720p—whatever that means
NVidia GEForce 8400 GS graphics card
Dell Inspiron (530) – Celeron 2.0 Ghz
DVI cable from PC to DVI to HDMI converter which is then plugged into the TV.
Resolution Now: 720p 1218 X 688 (its part of the Nvidia control panel that let me customize it) anything other than that will cut off parts of the screen images.
i dont know why but i can't adjust the image to where it looks softer. I dont know if its because I used a straight VGA connection before that ive become accustomed to it but now with this HDMI(DVI) hookup, my eyes are starting to hurt. the main problem is the text. instead of being just a straight black solid color i can see faint areas of orange-red shadowing/shading the letters. as far as video and pictures, they are fine.
Suggestion:
Have you tried to fine tune the tv? That is about all you can do is go into your TV menu and try to adjust it out…
