Boscovs also has a door buster sale on a Panasonic viera, also 42 inches. it's going for 400. The only thing I noticed as a difference is, the Viera is plasma, and only supports 720p, but has a 600hz refresh rate.

Which means disposable. Trash can if need a repair, even more so today than previous.
Ask around and see if anyone can tell you can Plasma TVs be repaired. Last I checked they are all disposable. I like my chances with LCD TV. The refresh rate is slower on the Panasonic Viera. If you are a gamer, a slower refresh rate is a longer blink on the screen, maybe pixels will show with fast movement on movies. I would stick with Vizio. By the way, don't get hung up on the name. If you watch College and NFL football Vizio cameras are bringing it to your set, live and in living color.
Best.
