LCD: the screen is an array of liquid crystals (like a digital watch) that form a picture with the application of different voltages. The liquid crystals don't emit light; the picture is illuminated from behind by a fluorescent lamp.
LED: Same as LCD, except the illumination from behind is by bank of light emitting diodes.
Plasma is better than LCD or LED…It has a very fast response time, needing no refresh rates for fast motion, excellent wide angle viewing, good colors and blacks. However, these are usually 40 inches or larger in size. LCD and LED are rather similar, but have a slow response time, causing some blur on fast action.. LED's are slimmer and lighter due to a different type of backlighting, but basically an LCD/LED.. High refresh rates can help the blur, but do mess up some movie and TV viewing if not shut off.. Least power useage, LED…

LED better than LCD ……….LCD better than PLASMA.
