Whats the Difference Between Hd and Full Hd Tv?

Does lcd or plasma make a difference

Suggestion:

Full HD generally refers to a display with 1,080 rows of pixels, marketed as "1080p." The other choice is labeled "HD Ready" in international marketing, and it has 768 rows of active pixels. Due to a scaling process, 720 of them are active in the image, which results in the "720p" label for such sets.

"HD ready" has a separate meaning, largely in North American markets. That refers to a TV that has no built-in tuner. The owner must supply the HD signal from an external source, like a cable or satellite box.
