What is the Difference Between Plasma,lcd, & Led-lcd Televisions?

I was thinking of buying a new television.
Though I don't know what the difference is between the Plasma,LCD, & LED-LCD tvs are?

Suggestion:

Plasma is a gas. I heard LED is good and LCD too.
