Lg Plasma or Sharp Aquos Lcd?

we're looking into a 60inch flat screen tv, there is an LG Plasma tv that is $1800 and a Sharp Aquos tv that is $2000 which type of tv is better, the picture quality seems to be about the same but the sharp is 240hz and the lg is 600hz, i dont know if that makes a difference, they are both 60 inches and 1080p

Suggestion:

LG plasma for sure, Ignore what everyone say's about image retention and power consumption as when image retention comes it goes within seconds on this year's line of LG plasma's and power consumption varies on the image being displayed and isn't anywhere near as bad as what people are saying, I save more money having a plasma than i did having a traditional lcd which the bulb is always lit at the back, lcd at that size is going to look pretty washed out, I dont think LCDs should be made in those sizes as they look washed out and rather horrid, Plasma is perfect for any size 42' and up plus the LG plasma's this year are out of this world when it comes to picture quality even the higher end more expensive models can't compete with them.

Whatever your decision i hope your happy with your purchase :)
