Just Bought Panasonic Plasma Viera Tc-p42c2 720 P Tv, is This a Good Tv?
I have high definition Dish Network with HDMI cable. The reason I bought this panasonic tv is because it was a great price and it received a ton of great reviews. However it is only 720 P rather than 1080 P but I learned that with Dish Network they don't broadcast in 1080 P anyways and I won't be using BluRay nor will I be using Gaming. The reason I wanted a Plasma is because I am used to my Old CRT TV and I love the Glossy Picture Finish. I had 2 LCD TVs and I had to return both of them because I didn't like the Matte Picture Finish. First do you think this Panasonic tv is a good tv. How are the colors and picture on this tv? Are they Intense and vivid because that is how I like it. Will I notice any difference between this 720P and the 1080P knowing that I will only be using Dish Network High Definition?? Why are some other Series of Panasonic Viera Plasma's much much more expensive? Are all Panasonic Plasma Viera's the same picture wise??? What's the difference?
Using the same HDMI cable that I have for my Dish Network, can I use this cable to connect my laptop to my TV and if so how?
Please give me the details on each of the above and tell me how good this tv is? Should I have bought the TC-P42U2 1080P instead? Let me know all the details.
Suggestion:
I have had this HDTV for almost 2 months now.I love the look of the plasma glass like picture versus the flat LCD picture. MLB and NFL really pop on this set compared to my 4 year old 46' Sony 720p LCD. I have not noticed any motion blur, and the blacks and dark scenes look great. The HD channels look great, the digital channels look good, and the SD channels look okay. This set offers options to fill or stretch the screen for non HD programs and SD channels. The sound on the TV is good enough. The viewing angle from the side is very good, and much better than a LCD TV. http://amzn.to/cPqw6g
