I want a new one but i dont know much about HD tv. whats the difference from hd, plasma, LCD, 1080 ,LED ..etc. there are so many help me out !
and also what brand should i buy i heard Sony samsong are good !

In my opinion plasma is better than lcd at screen sizes of 32" and above (colors look brighter). 1080P is what you really want, don't fall for the store trying to sell you on the 1080i, though the 1080i tv will likely have a 720p which is also good. the p's and i's stand for progressive scan and i is interlaced, wikipedia goes in depth on the two (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1080p). Samsung and Sony are top brand for LCD but I prefer Samsung,great picture quality and always come with better features.
