you can do a google search and you'll find tons of comparisons but personally i'd choose LCD because it's what laptop monitors use and they last a really long time. Plasma on the other hands can overheat and crack which will be a pain in the butt to fix

Hi I use to have a 50"LG HDTV/Plasma 1080P 600Hz. I only had it for almost 2 weeks & I return it back for a exchange because it had a burn screen & writings. I got a 52"Sony Bravia HDTV/LCD 1080P 120Hz & I had for 1 month with no problems. Not only that, the picture it looks way better then my previous LG HDTV Plasma.

Get plasma, but do not buy LG. Panasonic plasma is the second best one to buy, Pioneer is best but costs a lot. Look at both and pick what you like. Plasma has better colour, better blacks and smoother motion. There is no screen burn and they have 100,000 hours life span.
