Suggestion:
I'll show you how to figure it out, then you can do so for any set you want.
Look in the specs on any TV you're interested in for the power load. Example: 250 watts.
Such a set will then be using 250 watt-hours per hour, or 1000 watt-hours in 4 hours. That's 1 kilowatt-hour (kwh).
In 8 hours, then, the TV in this example expends 2 kwh.
You can look at your electric bill for your kwh rate and determine how much the TV will cost you by operating it for 8 hours.
Generally, a plasma set will draw around 30 to 50% more than an equivalent LCD with fluorescent backlighting, and more if the LCD has LED backlighting.
