Answer:
Plasma has better picture than LCD, especially the panasonics plasma's
which are ranked the best in plasma technology, I would go with a
panasonic V10 or G10 plasma they have at best buy. If you only
watch a little TV and just game for a hour or so a day, or watch
only a few hours of different HD content, then I would go plasma.
But if you game hardcore and play the same game with the same
tickers and watch a lot of TV with black bars on sides and top
then LCD is the better choice because plasma still can get image
retention although with new plasma's it's really hard to get, but I
wouldn't risk it, but if going for LCD get at least a 120hz LCD or
even a LED LCD TV, The LED will use 50% less electricity and have
almost similar picture to a plasma but still suffer from motion Blur.

1080p is better, i would go with lcd does not have glare from lights, led is better if you can afford it, get one with 120 hertz's or better, for better picture
