Suggestion:
Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read the reviews on tvs along with the pro and con of Plasma and CD tvs. You will notice that Panasonic has a tv recommended in each price category of entry level to the high end. Plasma is still considered to have the best picture quality of all tvs in the market today. If you read yahoo questions, you will notice that 95% of tv problems are from LCD tvs and 95% of those are off brands. I still have my Pioneer Plasma purchased in 2002 and have had no problems. If you view the LCD from an angle to you notice picture deg-ration, which you don't see from the Plasma tv. Hope this will help you out.
