Hdtv Review: the Samsung Ln52b750

A week doesn’t seem to go by without a new all singing, all dancing HDTV being released. With the Samsung LN52B750, a real treat seems to have finally been delivered.

As would be expected, the very latest in TV tech is packaged into the sleek, “Touch of Charcoal Grey” exterior. On the face of it of course, this doesn’t sound too exciting. However, when added to a room full of modernity, it looks stunning. Equally stunning, is the crystal neck design, which allows for all but 360 degree viewing angle.

Once powered up however, the Samsung LN52B750 really packs a punch. From the full HD resolution, right through the superb anti blur controls, and onto amazing processing speeds for those quick moving sports and action scenes.

Equally impressive, are the toys included in the kit; most notably, Anynet+, which through its one touch control, all but allows for your other remotes to be consigned to “that” drawer in the kitchen. Another toy well worthy of mention is the picture-in-picture display, so you can keep an eye on the live match whilst checking the results.

However, all these pale somewhat when compared to the Internet@TV content service, which allows you to access Facebook, Twitter and many other applications from the comfort of your sofa. The Samsung LN52B750 can also be synchronized with your other gadgetry, using DLNA technology, allowing you to access your phone, PC, or anything else through the remote. Is it useful? Who knows – but it is awesomely cool.

Finally, and unsurprisingly from the boys and girls that invented the LCD, is the superb image the screen itself delivers. Blacks are the deepest possible, whilst the colors are all but natural. You may not want to buy the Samsung LN52B750, but you should certainly consider it.
