Why Does My Sony Wega 55″ TV Screen Blank Out Whenever A Bright Image Appears?

Every time something bright (such as a commercial with a lot of white space, or a bright explosion scene) comes on my TV screen, the TV blanks out for a few seconds, then returns to a normal display when the bright image is gone. I have a Sony Wega 55" (KDF55XS95) LCD TV that I bought in 2005. I've had the cable company check the incoming cable line and even replace the converter box, but the problem still persists. (I don't have the problem on any of my other TV's) Does anyone know what the problem is?

TV with Xbox 360 showing only black and white?

It's flatscreen Samsung LCD TV, if that helps, but I'm pretty sure it's a problem with the Xbox since the TV menu is in color. It was working fine yesterday, and for some reason the screen is black and white now. I tried replacing the AV cord and moving the wires to different spots, but it didn't help. The Xbox worked when hooked up to a different TV. Not sure if there's anything I can do to fix it short of sending it to Microsoft, and I'm trying to avoid that, any advice?

How do you get rid of the 'heat haze' around moving objects on an LCD TV.?

I have a new LG LCD TV (model # 37SL80YD), Full HD 1080p Resolution, TruMotion 200Hz,yet every time there is a moving object on screen I get a 'heat haze' effect around it. Happens when watching television and playing PS3.

Is there a way to make this go away by playing with the picture settings? There is a function called Expert Mode which, according to the LG website "allows advanced users to optimise the image to a level not previously possible" Does anybody know what settings to change in order to solve this problem.

One line of dead pixels on LCD TV… Will this get progessively worse (more lines going out)? Is this fixable?

My main concern is: Does a problem like missing pixels tend to get worse over time? Or will the line of vertical pixels remain constant? I don't mind one line, but if more started showing up, it would be upsetting. The reason I ask is because I'm contemplating purchasing a TV with this vertical dead line, for much cheaper than retail.

Current retail is like 800-900, would by for $275-300. Is it worth it?

I have a sony 50 in lcd tv model KDF- E50A10. Screen is not as bright as it was new?

My sony TV seams to not have the brightness during the day. What I mean is light shining through the windows make it very dificult to see the picture. During the night time it is OK. I have tried changing the seetings, brightness, sharpness, contrast, etc. & cleaning the outside screen with no help. This problem started about 2 weeks ago and seems to be gettings worse. Thanks in advance
