What Screws Are Needed for My Sony Lcd Plasma Screen T.v?

I have recently purchased a Sony plasma screen TV and I have a stand for it to hook up to the back, and the screws for that are not included so I have went to home depot and purchased 6 different screws and tried them all out, and unfortunately I came to no avail. Am I suppose to buy a certain kind of screw, or is there a universal screw that works with all T.Vs in the back?. P.S ...
