LCD TV = Samsung LCD LA 40C 530 OR Sony KLV Ex 400 ?

SONY or a SAMSUNG–
7/10 are telling me to go for a sony ; my own big sis is telling to go for SAMSUNG –
my elder sister is telling me that samsung Plus Pointer over sony —Are these Below True
1) "clarity in lcd is better"
2) "its parts are cheaper"
3) "the USB port of samsung plays all the format" –"where as sony only plays selected format"—
IS THAT TRUE??
we usually use the pen drive to watch movies so is that true that the Ex400 usb pen-drive does not play all the formats ??
4) Plus samsung makes the sony ka parts –plus sony ka parts are more expensive blah blah ??

My mom on the other hand has a mind set on Bravio since the last 2-3 years …..

What is the best quality (on the cheaper end) LCD TV you can buy?

Because it is going behind the TV in-wall, maybe we need a monster cable? We bought a medium priced Belkin HDMI to hook up cable box to the TV, we had to return it because the picture was lousy. We bought a Monster cable and the difference in picture quality was huge!
