Lcd or Plasma,whats Best for a 40 Inch Screen Tv?

I would take the new LED type TVs. I have a UE46B8000 (200Hz LED) and it is THE best picture quality you could ever have from playing games to watching normal TV even. The advantage in LED tvs is that you get the advantages from plasma and lcd. Plasma up point is that its black colours are very dark, while LCD is that its bright colours are very vivid. You get both of these things in LED. I would go for the Samsung UE40B8000 if I were you.

Suggestion:

To my knowledge there is not a 40" plasma tv only lcd. The closest size is a 42" plasma. Choose lcd for a brighter picture with better black tones. Choose plasma for a faster picture that looks smoother. Thats the way I see it.

If you don't play games (where there is a danger of burn in), then nothing can match the colors, blacks, and picture quality of a plasma.

Go to a store and look for yourself.

I still haven't seen a reasonably priced plasma produce the quality picture a LCD can and once a plasma goes out Its just a paper weight
