Coloured Photos Are Showing Up Black and White on Tv?

I have an old "Olympus Camedia" digital camera (D-535 Zoom. 3.2 MP). I took coloured photos and tried to view them on my widescreen plasma Panasonic tv and all of the photos are black and white. I'm thinking this is happening because the camera is old and the tv is new, but I don't know anything about this sort thing so, can someone please help me? Thanks- please no pointless answers that do not help in any way.

Answer:

ive got an LG… 32inch which i use as a monitor… when tuning it in, theres several places on the auto tune where it almost gets it. and the images displayed fuzzy, or in black n white… eventually the auto tune found it, and displayed OK.

to test whether it is the camera or not, burn the pics to a CD, and put em in your DVD player… it ought to display them no problem…

If you are taking images directly off the memory card and displaying them on the TV, it's possible that your TV isn't reading the camera's file-format correctly. You might want to try editing your photos on a computer first and then display them on the TV.

You're probably right the "Old" Camera and "New" TV aren't playing well with one another. :)

did you plug in the camera's video out (usually phono) direct to the TV's phono in? There is sometimes a frequency mismatch between screen and camera.

The best idea is to use a computer with either DVI or HDMI outputs because the TV tends to automatically adjust to the video imput from those inderfaces.
