50'' Plasma or 42'' Lcd?

I'm about to buy a new t.v for my living room. I don't know which to choose?
Plasma got burn ins and LCD isn't the best in that dark.
LCD got motion issues and Plasma is less sharp.
I watch high quality HD movies and would like to get the best of it, tv, and most in the evening.
What do you think is better for me?

Suggestion:

50 inc Plasma vs LCD >
if you ref to Panasonic / Pioneer Plasma after 2008 models
burn in is not an issue ,even long hours for still Image / games . there is anti burn in electronics circuit designs to prevent burn in . Life time for Plasma display panel same as LCD , is 60,000 hours. Panasonic Z series even better than LCD ,is up to 100,000 hours.
much lower power consumption .Z series Plasma is about same screen size LCD .
New Plasma is more " sharp " than before. suited any direct sun light room .
non of LCD TV even hi end models able to reach Plasma quality . those 240 HZ models still cant cover " motion blur ".well.
Panasonic is the only TV maker use NEW PLASMA technologies . ( Pioneer Plasma is made by Panasonic and use the same parts ( after 2009 may products )
next will by Samsung and LG . their Plasma just okay.
any other BRAND Plasma is " junk ".it still old Plasma technologies cause easy burn in. high power consumption's . over heating..NEVER TOUCH.

For quality and prices . Panasonic Plasma never go wrong.
High prices 42 inc / 50 inc LED TV reach 94 % of Plasma quality . is not worth for that .

Go with LCD. LCD never burns images into your screen the way Plasma would. If your watching a movie pause with no screen saver and forget about and leave for a few hours when you get home just toss it right in the trash because you can't repair burns in the screen. With a LCD you can connect to your computer and use it as monitor and it's great for video games without ever having to worry about burn issues

Don't listen to Gregor he's an idiot
Plasma sucks and the burning is a big issue. Plasma is cheaper for a reason and what if you do want to watch ESPN or CNN all day. You should be able to watch what ever you want without having to worry about burning the screen.

Plasma is all around better technology than LCD. It is cheaper as well. The burn-in is not a major issue in most plasmas unless you are keeping it on a news channel or ESPN all day. As far as "sharp"ness goes, I don't know why you think plasma is less so than LCD. It has a higher frame rate and deeper blacks, the lines are just as clean.

Go with the Plasma

buy a plasma hd tv this is good for when you are watching movies.
