Bit of info, our tv connected to an extension lead with individual switch at each socket, then at the back to the LCD there is a flip switch that can completed cut off power, then on its side there is a soft-button to put the tv on standby.
Should I left it on standby or flip the switch when its not use at night?
Normally you can simply turn it off with the remote (or push button on the side). The standby mode is a very low power mode that will allow it to turn on with the remote. Of course the remote will not work if you turn off the switch on the back or at the power cable.
