Sony / Samsung 40inc 1080P with 120 HZ refresh rate models also Panasonic / Sharp / LG 42 inc 1080 P 120 HZ models LCD TV is about same quality.
for 40/42 inc you need 1080P with 120 HZ !
budget allow get an Samsung / LG / Sony / Sharp 40 inc LED TV. better smooth picture.

42inc best in quality and prices is Panasonic Plasma. none of any LCD TV able to reached Plasma performs. LED TV close to it, but prices issue .
