Suggestion:
Personally I went the LED route instead of getting another LCD. I would strongly suggest that you look at the Samsung series 7 range of TV's. You can get a decent size/quality tv for way less than £3000 now days. I would also say that if you really do want to spend that much money then use the rest of the money to buy a decent Blue Ray player/surround sound system.
Try looking for the 200Mhz Tv now as it will help to future proof you a little

I'm with Steve on this one. With that kind of budget you have a wide choice, but i'd choose LED over LCD too! And again, i'd go for the Samsung range – at the moment they are doing an Eco cashback system and, depending on which series you buy, you could get up to £250 cashback. We've just bought the 7 series (i think? lol) and got £200 cashback from Samsung. …And hubby is looking to use that money to put towards a blu-ray getup of some description (waaaay over my head!! lol)
