Suggestion:
To get the best possible picture first is to make sure you have all your gear hooked up with the best cables possible. Then is to have your TV professionally calibrated by a certified ISF technician. They have very expensive test gear and can get into hidden menus that only service technicians are able to get into. They also calibrate each input for the source being used. Its reasonably expensive to have done but when you think how long you have TV's and how often you view it its really not that bad.
There are other stores that offer similar calibrations I would strongly suggest against it, only go with true ISF certified technicians. You can find one on their web site.
The cheaper option is to buy their video essentials calibration disc which is very informative and will help you get reasonably close with a little patience and practice.
Good luck
