How Can I Fix My Lg 32 Inch Lcd Tv?

My roommate bought an LG tv from Best Buy and we hooked it up today. We put the cable wire in and we can see the tv programs. HOWEVER, the pictures are very bright white and people's skin is blue. It looks like moving picture negatives (best I can explain). What do you think this is and what can we do to fix it?

Suggestion:

try pressing the menu button on the remote, then just fiddle around with all the settings in the picture menu until it looks better, you may mess it up more but it could be worth a shot.
