Can an Lcd Tv Be Placed in Front of the Window?

the sun hits it all day, the back of the tv would be exposed to it, I do have curtains though. I can't find any other way to arrange my living room and the best place is in front of our window.
help?

Suggestion:

I have mine in front of my window.

As long as it is a normal temperature–like not too hot and not too cold, you won't have problems with it.

Make sure it is far enough away from the curtains (a few inches) so that the vents don't get blocked in the back.

And of course, you wouldn't want to open the window with the tv there.
